How to Replace the Filter in Your Pureflow Showerhead

Maintaining your Pureflow Filtered Showerhead is essential to keep enjoying cleaner, healthier water that’s gentler on your skin and hair. One of the most important maintenance tasks is replacing the filter cartridge. This ensures your showerhead continues to deliver maximum chlorine and chloramine removal, optimal pH balance, and that fresh, skin-friendly shower experience.

Why Replace the Filter?

Over time, the advanced Vitamin C filter inside your Pureflow showerhead captures chlorine, chloramines, sediments, rust, and other impurities from your water. While this protects your skin and hair, the cartridge gradually becomes saturated and less effective.

Regular replacement (typically every 3–6 months, depending on your water quality and how often you shower) restores full filtration performance and helps extend the life of your showerhead.

What You’ll Need

Before you begin, prepare the following:

  • A new Pureflow replacement filter cartridge (compatible with your showerhead model)
  • A soft cloth or towel
  • Optional: Rubber gloves for better grip

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Turn Off the Water Supply Make sure the water is completely turned off at your shower valve to prevent leaks or splashes during the process.

2. Unscrew the Bottom Section Hold the showerhead firmly and twist the bottom section counterclockwise to unscrew it. If it feels tight, wrap a soft cloth around it or wear rubber gloves for better grip without scratching the surface.

3. Remove the Old Filter Once the bottom is open, gently pull out the old filter cartridge. Be careful not to damage any internal parts of the showerhead.

4. Clean the Housing Check the filter chamber for any debris, mineral buildup, or residue. Wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth if needed. This helps the new filter perform at its best from the first use.

5. Insert the New Pureflow Filter Take your new Pureflow replacement cartridge and align it correctly with the housing. Insert it firmly until it sits snugly in place. The filter should fit smoothly — if it resists, double-check the alignment.

6. Reattach the Bottom Section Screw the bottom section back on by turning it clockwise. Tighten it securely, but avoid over-tightening to protect the threads.

7. Check for Leaks Turn the water back on and run the shower for a few seconds. Inspect the connection area for any leaks. If you see any, gently tighten the bottom section a little more.

8. Enjoy Your Refreshed Shower With the new Pureflow filter installed, your water is once again effectively filtered from chlorine and impurities. Enjoy noticeably softer water, reduced dryness and irritation, and healthier-looking skin and hair.
